For the last fiscal year the consulate processed more than 89,000 immigrant visa applications. That is a 3,000 application gain over the prior year.
Record Number of Visas to Students to Study in the United States
Department has issued a record number of visas to students to study in the United States, exceeding pre-9/11 levels. During Fiscal Year 2007, the Department issued more than 651,000 student and exchange visitor visas - 10 percent more than last year and 90,000 more than were issued in Fiscal Year 2001.

H1B Cap Case Interest List!
Our Law Firm will start forming a list of those that are interested in using our firm for the filing of H1B cap subject cases for Fiscal Year 2009. Due to the limited cap numbers, and the expectation that they will be exhausted on the first day of filing, we will start accepting these cases on January 4, 2007.
